Trailer: Struck By Lightning

Directed by Brian Dannelly, written by and starring Chris Colfer, with Rebel Wilson, Allison Janney, Christina Hendricks, Sarah Hyland, and Dermott Mulroney.

If you had any concern that Colfer would be type cast after Glee and have a tough time separating himself from Kurt, guess again. He’s already an entertainment renaissance man and this trailer proves that he’s not merely riding the buzz of his show, there’s solid chops backing him up. Lightning has a quirky indie vibe and brings to mind the recent Charlie Bartlet but draws upon John Hughes as well. Best of all there seems to be something deeper going on, something almost mumblecore. And you can’t go wrong with the cast, so good stuff all around.
